83rd Saturday July 4th 1874. I ironed a little this morning and finished my wrapper. Besides helping with the house-work today I nearly made Mother a light calico polinaise. After supper Mother made some jelly I was sick and went to bed early. Sunday July 5th 1874. I was sick all day. But did not go to bed. In the forenoon I wrote a letter Owen and a few lines to Charlie. In the afternoon J.J. Huebner and wife called. After they had gone I wrote some more and went to bed. Intensely warm. Monday July 6th 1874. Mother and I went down town this morning and did not get home till nearly noon. I sewed all the afternoon on her light calico polinaise, went to bed early. Tuesday July 7th 1874. I finished Mothers' polinaise this morning and cut out Rob two common shirts. I sewed awful hard all the afternoon and got them both done just before dark. A storm tonight, went to bed early.
