84th Wednesday July 8th 1874. I began the first thing this morning to fix Mothers striped polinaise, and it was four oclock before it was finished. Then I put a new band on her black alapaca skirt. We got a new cook stove home from town tonight. Just about dark it stormed terribly. Had a letter from Owen. Thursday July 9th 1874. I did the work this morning, and the girls did the washing. We got all done before noon. I cleaned up the muss after washing and helped get the dinner. After dinner I began to work on my old buff dress. I am making it over and intend to trim it with white. Hattie went to the country to stay all night. Jim Folsom was here and we played whist in the evening. Friday July 10th 1874. I ironed this forenoon. Hattie came home about eleven oclock. In the afternoon I finished my buff skirt and made me an apron. Mother and I went to town in the buggy, late in the
