87th Thursday July 16th 1874 Mother and Winnie went to town this morning I sewed while they were gone and got the dinner ready. Mother got stuff for Charlie some shirts. After dinner I changed my dress and cut out four shirts and sewed till five oclock. I then went out to Fletchers. I took supper with Mattie. And Frank came home with me. When I got home, I found they had brought the new piano home and put it up. It is very nice. And I am so glad We have a new one of our own. Friday July 17th 1874. Lee and I went to the valley and staid all day. Had a very pleasant visit with Grand-ma and Aunt Emma. Mollie Folsom and Mr Baily called in the evening. Three years ago today since Pete started to Ohio. I recieved a letter from him this morning. This has been a very warm day. I was so tired I was nearly sick tonight.
