88th Saturday July 18th 1874. I finished my white waist and over-skirt this forenoon helped some with the work. Late in the afternoon Mother and I went to town. We were not gone long and as soon as we came home I worked on Charlies shirts. Went to bed early. Sunday July 19th 1874. I wrote to Charlie to Cousin Jennie and a long letter to Pete. Late in the afternoon I changed my dress and went to town to mail my letters. I took supper with Sade. And called at Beesons and Cousin Sallies. It was nearly night when I got home. Went to bed early. Monday July 20th 1874. It rained all day, and I sewed as hard as I could on Charlies shirts. Was very tired at night and went to bed early. Tuesday July 21st 1874. I sewed all the time till four oclock on me a puffed night dress. At four Mother and I went to town and invited company for tomorrow and I invited some friends to spend Thursday evening here. A letter from Owen today.
