93rd I went down to dinner. Charlie took me over to Mrs Huebners to spend the afternoon. After supper him and I took a walk down to the depot and then went back to the hotel and spent the evening talking together. Saturday August 1st 1874. I started from Burlington this morning at five oclock and arrived in Pekin at half past nine I staid there till after three and got over to Delavan about five in the evening. Uncle, Jennie and Lorna were at the depot. We came out home and after supper drove back down town to see Cousin Ettie. I went to bed about nine oclock, pretty tired and sleepy. Sunday August 2nd 1874. We went to church this morning and I stayed down there with Ett. In the afternoon I wrote to Charlie, to Mother and Pete and when Tom came out late in the afternoon I rode down town with him. After a while the rest of the folks came down in the buggy, and we did not go to church but came right back home.
