96th Thursday August 6th 1874. I put in my time doing not much of any thing today. About all I did was wash my linin suit. About the middle of the afternoon Jennie and I got ready to go down town. But it looked like rain so we did not go till after supper. We spent a little time at McClays at a sociable. It was quite late when we got home. letter from Charlie today. Friday August 7th 1874. I went down town with Uncle this morning and went to Mrs Beechers to spend the day. I staid all night with her as Mr Beecher was away from home. I enjoyed myself there very much. Weather warm for several days past I wrote Charlie a few lines this morning. Saturday August 8th 1874. I went over to Etts this morning and helped her a little. After dinner Laura and I went up town on an errand for her, and about four oclock Uncle came down with the horse and buggy and Laura and I came home. Jennie and I went down town after supper. Weather warm.
