96th Sunday August 9th 1874. It was very warm today. I read some and visited with Tom and Ett as they spent the day out home. We went to bed early. Monday August 10th 1874. Jennie did not wash today as she had company. I wrote Mother a long letter in the afternoon. Jennie and I were going down town after supper but Uncle thought the horse was too tired to make another trip. Weather very hot. Tuesday August 11th 1874 They washed this morning and in the afternoon, Jennie baked I ironed some and Aunty went down town. After supper Jennie and I went down town. We had a real pleasant time made several calls, and I played croquet a little at Beechers. I had a letter from Charlie this morning. Weather hoter. Wednesday August 12th 1874. Jennie ironed this morning. I sewed a little wrote in the afternoon, and after supper Jennie and I went down town I played croquet at Beechers had a letter from Charlie.
