108th out examinations for a teachers certificate. I came down on the evening train. Wrote a little in the evening. Sunday September 20th 1874 I helped Ett do the work this morning and then went over to Mrs Beechers and helped her get ready for church. At noon I went out home and after dinner us girls took a drive out to Mr Page's to engage my board. After we came back I went down to Etts and staid all night. I had the blues terribly all day. Monday September 21st 1874. I washed some things for myself this morning, and after dinner I wrote a few lines to Mother, and mailed it at the depot. I got some pictures taken. I ironed in the evening. Tuesday September 22nd 1874. I went over to sew for Mrs Beecher today In the evening went up town. I wrote to Charlie. I had a letter from home from Charlie and a note from Mr Pomfret The Co Supt. at Hopedale. Weather pleasant.
