116th Sunday October 18th 1874. I went to church this morning. Ott and Lou came out home with us. I wrote to Lee in the afternoon. It was a very pleasant day but I did not feel very well. We went to church at night. Monday October 19th 1874. To school today. I wrote to Charles. And in the evening after supper we went down to Hesses to spend the evening. The folks were all down town in the afternoon. I had a letter from Mother and Lee tonight with a picture of Lee and Old Dog. Weather beautiful. Tuesday October 20st 1874. Taught today and sewed on my new cloak in the evening. Weather pleasant. Wednesday October 21st 1874. To school again today. I wrote Mother a long letter. In the evening I had a letter from her and from Charlie. I wrote some more to her in the evening. Continued in Diary for 1873/
