Sunday April 16th 1905 It was a very cold day for the time of year. I was scarcely out of the house. I read and wrote and slept in afternoon. Will about the house most of the day. Monday April 17th 1905 Weather some warmer. I was sewing when not busy with the wash. Levi is working here, and Will is beginning to plow for corn. The folks are cleaning house down home. Tuesday April 18th 1905 I had churning this morning and then did some work in the yard before noon. I was working out most of the day. I fixed nests and set more hens. Levi finished splitting wood. Wednesday April 19, 1905 I did a big washing alone this forenoon and got the dinner. Will borrowed a potato planter. Levi cut potatoes all afternoon. The forenoon he was putting in posts around the potato patch for new fence. Walter is plowing. I did some mending and folded the clothes to iron. A high wind in afternoon. Thursday April 20, 1905 It rained most of the day. Walter cleaned the chicken house for me in forenoon. I ironed before dinner and sewed all afternoon. Will went to town on 12.30 car. Came back at four and he and Walter got in the young roan cow with calf. A severe storm after supper. We did not go to bed very early.
