Wednesday May 3rd, 1905 I worked most of the forenoon painting screens in the garret. I wrote Lydia a short letter after dinner and put in all afternoon with the chickens. Set more hens, painted the windows to the hen house &c. Dell Sangster was out for eggs. Will gets on so well with Willie's help. Thursday May 4th 1905 I cleaned the cellar some this morning and took the milk down, did the churning alone and got dinner. After dinner I took the tacks out of the carpet in our room and went to town for things needed. Did evening work. We set out onions. The boys are both plowing. Friday, May 5th 1905 I had Willie to help me take the things out of our room. I got the floor and wood-work cleaned before noon. My chickens were a great deal of work in afternoon and I was sewing the carpet some. Will cleaned it at five oclock. Saturday May 6th 1905 Will went to town in the forenoon. I put the carpet down besides doing the regular wash. He helped me put the furniture back after dinner. I then went down to Fannies. It was Williams 7th birth-day and he had a party. I ate my supper down there. Came home to do evening work. Will has the ground ready to plant corn. Weather cool today.
