Saturday July 8th 1905 I was miserably sick all day but managed to do the work and sewed a little in afternoon. Will did not go to town. The weather was showery though no hard rain. Willie did a big lot of work in the garden. Sunday July 9th 1905 It was cool today. I put in the forenoon looking over the desk and destroying what was not necessary to keep. I read and wrote in afternoon. went to bed early. Monday July 10th 1905 I did not feel well yet. The day was not fit for hurried work. I got the meals and worked at tatting. The boys cannot do much but cut weeds and work about the place. Tuesday July 11th 1905 Very much such a day as yesterday and spent in very much the same way. I still do not feel well. Wednesday July 12th 1905 I feel better today. I did some extra work in the forenoon and Will and I went to town after noon. I went back over home to do some stitching. Thursday July 13th 1905 Was busy with the work all forenoon. Spent the afternoon with Mary Woolf. Hurried home out of storm. Will is cutting hay. Our supper was late. I had a letter from Lizzie Lindley.
