Sunday August 20th 1905 I was busy with the work all morning. Later Will and I took a ride around the farm to look at the crops. Were well pleased. I wrote letters and read in afternoon. Monday August 21st 1905 I did a little washing and got the dinner. We went down town in afternoon. I called at Mrs Clare to get the keys to her house and did shopping. we stopped at Woolfs. Mary has been sick for several days but is better. Did evening work. Ott & Legrand started to Idaho. Tuesday August 22nd 1905 I washed some of Wills things he will need this morning and did the regular work. Soon after dinner we went over and looked over the Clare place. We concluded me do not want it at any price, there is too much work to do there. We sat on the porch to talk about it awhile. I did some mending and got the supper. It was intensely hot and a storm followed early in the evening. Wednesday August 23rd 1906 I ironed this morning and did some other things. In the afternoon I put up 10 qts of tomatoes. I worked a little on my tatting collar. The weather is cooler after the rain. Will is not very busy and Billy is busy cutting weeds.
