Friday September 1st 1905 I took some chickens down town this morning. I stopped at home on my way over with butter. I did some shopping. I worked all afternoon cleaning the shed and painting the floor. I got tomatoes ready to can in the evening. Saturday September 2nd 1905 I swept the house all over, had bread baking and churning early dinner and I went down town at 12:30 for more paint. came back on the same car. I worked at the painting most of the afternoon. weather cooler after rain last night. I heard from Will. wrote him today. In the evening I wrote four letters and other writing till ten oclock. Sunday September 3rd 1905 I was up at the usual time. I got my work done in good shape. It was so cold I fixed up the grate in the parlor. Otts folks with Mother & Alma Pavin, Nell Barnes and baby were here for the day. Had a good visit. Mrs Whedon came before supper. Spent evening talking to her. Monday September 4th 1905 A cold ugly day for the time of year. We sewed on my sleeves for my summer dress and my white waist. I did not head from Will again today, he is no doubt on the way home. Billy is busy with the weeds. I had talk with Fannie about the surprise part Friday night for John & Hatts 25th wedding anniversary.
