Tuesday September 5th 1905 We sewed till nearly five oclock. we had so much worry with the neck to my brown silk waist. Mrs Whedon did not go home tonight. Will came at 5:30. He had a fine visit. Stopped at Burlington to see Bird Harris and at West Liberty to visit Elmer & Ida Anderson Wednesday September 6th 1905 Mrs Whedon went home at 8 this morning. I did some mending and had some baking and extra work about the house. weather growing some warmer. Thursday September 7th 1905 I had churning and washing for the forenoon. I put in all the afternoon putting up tomatoes. In the evening I peeled sweet apples to preserve. Will to town in afternoon. He worked all of yesterday and till noon today on the roads in the village. Friday September 8th 1905 I put up my apples, did the ironing, and washed out my dress and two shirts for Will in forenoon. Did mending and other sewing in afternoon. Will to town in afternoon. I got early supper for Billy. We dressed and went down to Fannies by invitation to a supper for John & Hatt. Later we went up home where there was a big party for her. They got some very nice presents. We got home at midnight. We got her a silver cream spoon.
