Sunday September 17th 1905 It was late when we got up this morning. I wet to church with the girls. Walked back past Woolfs. Took a bath and rest after dinner. Late in afternoon Vene and I called at John & Mrs Anthony Woolfs. Had lunch after we got home. Martie and family were here all the evening. Monday September 18th 1905 I sewed part of the forenoon and ironed my light dress and some things in the wash and went over town to make calls all afternoon. I got back about supper time. We went to bed early as all were tired. I got my ticket this afternoon. Letters from Will say Aunt Lib fell and hurt her hip. Tuesday September 19th 1905 Got up in good time. Jim took me over to the depot before he took Edith to school. The ride to St Louis was very pleasant. My train was late, I only had time for change of cars. The cars were crowded and my trip to Springfield tiresome though very interesting. The route lay through The Ozark Mountain country. I reached Springfield at 9:10. Aunt Sarah and Charlie met me at the depot. We went to Auntys home and visited till late bed-time.
