Sunday October 1st 1905 It was late when we got up. I did not go to church but talked with Vene most of the forenoon. Did some writing. Late in the afternoon Vene and I went over to Sanfords and stopped at Joe Woolfs. I went to church with her and went home with Venes girls. We found Harry there spent a pleasant evening. Lydia did not feel well. Monday October 2nd 1905 I went over to Clara Fosters and from there to Joe Woolfs for dinner. Did not get away from there very early. Joe walked up town with me. I went down to Duncans for supper. Lizzie is home from Kansas. Carl took me home in the evening. visited with the folks. Tuesday October 3rd 1905 I got my things all packed. Vene gave me a sachel of pears. Jim took me to the depot. I ate lunch at Peoria. I arrived in Burlington at 7 oclock. I tool a cab to the Harris house. Gladys was visiting Birdie. We spent a pleasant evening. weather warm and dry. Wednesday October 4th 1905 I spent the forenoon at the house. After dinner four of us went out to Crapo Park. I went up to Shultz before supper but did not see Dorothy. Spent the evening pleasantly with the girls at the house.
