Monday October 9th 1905 Will helped me put out a big washing this morning. I did a lot of extra work about the house in the afternoon. The boys got in more potatoes. Tuesday October 10th 1905 I went to town early this morning for meat and got three baskets of peaches. I worked all afternoon putting them up. I folded the clothes to iron. turned cooler tonight. Wednesday October 11th 1905 I ironed and got up a nice dinner. Will working with the wood and Billy digging potatoes. I did the mending in afternoon and put the clothes away. a cold windy day. Thursday October 12th 1905 I put things to rights in the cellar, taking down some fruit I had put up. I worked all afternoon with the pears. I have put up 10 qts from what I brought home. The boys put up the {new stove} at noon. I had fire in it all afternoon. Friday October 13th 1905 I went down town early. Took Mrs Misser some tomatoes. I got three more baskets of peaches. I worked very hard all afternoon getting them canned. They made 9 qts. They were not very good. Will hauled wood & Billy dug potatoes. Will took 10 bushels to Ed Koser. I was very tired, read some, and to bed early.
