Friday October 27th 1905 I got the regular morning work done and Will helped me fix the new lamp. It took so long that I had to hurry my dinner. I scalded my tomato pickle. wrote a letter to Ida Anderson after noon and went up to Mrs Clarks for a call. It was cold. Did evening work and read some. My hands are so sore. Saturday October 28th 1905 Will churned for me and I had bread baking and lots of other work. They took the last of the hay from Mrs Kosers barns. There was eight big loads. Will went to town at 12:30. I rode down later. Took the home folks butter and did some errands in town. They are cleaning house down home. I did evening work and read some. Will sold over $70.00 worth of hay this week. Sunday October 29th 1905 I was busy about the house all forenoon. Will went to the pasture to get some extra horses to use this coming week. I read some in the afternoon and in the evening wrote a long letter to Lizzie Lindley & a few lines to Mr Wentzel. Monday October 30th 1905 It was a rainy morning. I could not do washing so got out some old dress skirts to fix. I sewed a great part of the day. The boys were busy doing what they could about the place after taking some hogs to town in the morning. There was 11 head brought $162.25.
