Wednesday December 20th 1905 I was buys about the work all forenoon. Will went to North Liberty for the hog in the afternoon. We put the meat away after he came home. I do not feel well. Thursday December 21st 1905 weather not so good. Snowed in the evening. I have done the work and read some. I do not feel well. I went to bed early. Hattie keeps about the same. Friday December 22nd 1905 weather colder. I did the work after a fashion and read some. I do not feel well. To bed early. Saturday December 23rd 1905 I passed a bad night and had Dr Smith come out to see me this morning. I took his medicine all day. I read some, went to bed early. Will helps so we get along with the work. Sunday December 24th 1905 I was sick on the couch most of the day. Will did most of the work. I read a little. Hattie no better. Monday December 25th 1905 A nice day. I felt some better. Will and I here alone. The Christmas dinner was at Otts. Mr & Mrs Bremner, Will and Emily & Charlie Bremner were there. Dr Hobby made examinations for Hattie this afternoon. I read some and managed to prepare what little we needed to eat.
