Wednesday March 28th 1906 I got my work done so I went down home on the 9.34. I left the basket with the bread at the store and I took the butter over home. I went to the P. O. to send money order. Had such a good visit with Mother & Hattie. Came back to town early, got Mother a new calico skirt to make. I read all evening, had a fine letter from Lydia Mason. Thursday March 29th 1906 I ironed and got my work done in the forenoon so I cut out Mothers skirt in the afternoon and made a good start on it. We had supper in good time and we went down to the church to an entertainment. It was bed-time when we got home. Lee would have been 44 years old today. Friday March 30th 1906 I baked bread in the forenoon and did the regular work and sewed in afternoon on Mothers dress. Alma Parvin was out for supper. I read all the evening. Saturday March 31st 1906 I baked bread for Mother and did a lot of other work before I went down on the 2 oclock car. Will had gone down at eleven and he came back at four. I staid till 8:30 and Alma went to Cedar Rapids on that car. Will found two of the cows had young calves tonight both black. It was bed-time when we got home.
