Sunday May 6th 1906 It was cold and cloudy. Will went to the pasture. I was busy part of the forenoon. I have my little chickens in a box in the shed. I read in afternoon and wrote to Joe Woolf. Went to bed early. William Byingtons 8th birthday. Monday May 7th 1906 Will is 58 years old today. It was so cold we kept two firs going all day. The stoves smoked as it was hard to do the wash. The boys were plowing. I took care of my little chicks and sewed some. Tuesday May 8th 1906 I had churning and baked cookies this forenoon. The sun shone so I put the little chickens out in afternoon. Will finished plowing and brought the plow in and plowed the garden. It rained early in the evening. all tired and to bed early. Wednesday May 9th 1906 I had a very busy forenoon with washing, taking care of the little chicks and getting the dinner. I went down town in afternoon. Took down some butter & eggs. Got groceries and other things. I came right back and did my evening work. Will and Rueben busy with the work. Hattie is 49 years old today.
