Saturday July 28th 1906 I was busy with the ironing and baking all forenoon. I fixed the sleeves to a waist in afternoon. Will down town. I had early supper and went down at 6.30 for my hat. Came back at 8.05 and went to bed early. It rained a little in afternoon. Sunday July 29th 1906 I did up the work, went to town to church, and after dinner read some and took a long sleep. Went down to Coralville to church. Monday July 30th 1906 I was busy with the regular work all the forenoon. Will and I went down to Woolfs for apples and he went on to town and I up home awhile. Tuesday July 31st 1906 We decided last night to start to see Anna Denton tomorrow morning. I had a busy day doing baking and getting ready. Laura came home today. Wednesday August 1st 1906 Rain enough last night to lay the dust. Will took me down in the buggy. John & Mother was there. John went to Des Moines to convention. We were late and made very close connection at Council Bluffs. Margie met us at the depot in Nebraska City. Anna had a good supper and we spent the evening on the porch talking. I was very tired when we got there.
