Monday August 6th 1906 Mrs Simms came this morning and took me out to get some peaches. She took dinner with us. Margie and I went down town to get baskets to put our peaches in. We visited afternoon and evening. Had some callers. I picked up our things as we got tomorrow morning. No word from home. Tuesday August 7th 1906 We left Nebraska City at 9.25 and had an hour at Council Bluffs to get our lunch. We got home about 10 oclock. The tripe was not so lard as going out. Will met us at the depot. Took was done to the store and John took Mother home and Will and I came in car. The girls were up. They had got on so well. There had been rain here. Wednesday August 8th 1906 We did not do much but visit and get the meals. I baked some bread. Hatt & Lorie Foltz were here in the afternoon. The girls packed up to go tomorrow. Thursday August 9th 1906 Will took the girls things down and I went with them on the car. There was a heavy rain last night. I got Will and I some dinner and put in the afternoon not doing much of any thing. We hear that Mr Cutter is very sick.
