Friday August 17th 1906 I did not do much work today it was so hot. I wrote to Ida Colter and a long letter to Laura Mason. There was a hard rain in the early evening. Saturday August 18th 1906 Will had Frank Rittenmeyer help him with some work this morning. I took an early start to Stevens. Mother rode with me and Hattie, Lorie & Alma went together. We had a fine days visit. I got home about 6 oclock. Will had been down town in afternoon. I spent the evening over at Mrs Kosers. Sunday August 19th 1906 I was busy about home all forenoon. I went down home at 2.30. The Parvins were there for the day. I did not come home till 7.05. I went to church. Dr Williams from Iowa City preaching for us. Monday August 20th 1906 I did washing alone and was not done till noon. I washed my hair in afternoon there was such a fine wind for drying it. I brought in the clothes and folded them and did the evening work. Ott, Fannie, and the boys got home from Colorado at 4 oclock this afternoon. weather very warm.
