Friday August 24th 1906 I did some baking in forenoon and Will churned for me. I ate my dinner early. Went down town on 11.30 and met the girls at the drug store from there we went to Mr Slemmons funeral in a carriage that was to go out. Were early so we had a chance to talk with Ida some. There was some rain but the hardest passed around to the north. We got back in time that I came home at 5.05. Saturday August 25th 1906 I got in the corn and dried a nice lot today. I did some other house work. Will went to town in afternoon. We had early supper and I went in at 5.30. I called at Mrs Warren Pratts and went up to Moores awhile. Came home at 8.05 [8.55?]. I had a letter from Laura and wrote her today. Sunday August 26th 1906 It turned much cooler last night. We were late getting up so the forenoon was very short. I got Wills things ready to pack for the start to Delavan tomorrow. I wrote and rested in afternoon. I went down to church in the evening but there was none so spent the evening with Frankie Pointains. I talked up my party with her.
