Monday August 27th 1906 I got Wills things ready and he went in at 8.30 to {leave for Delavan?} I washed in the forenoon. Went to town at 11.30, met Fannie on the street, rode home with her, and had a long talk about the party. Was up home awhile. Hattie & Lorie came home with me. Hattie went back at 8.30. Lorie and I had a great visit. Tuesday August 28th 1906 I ironed and visited with Lorie. After early dinner We took Nellie and drove around to invite my company. I took Lorie down home. stopped at Woolfs on the way back. Did evening work and visited with Alma who came to stay all night. Wednesday August 29th 1906 Alma went down town in the morning and I baked bread and cakes, had dinner early, and went down at 12.30. I got a lot of things for the party tomorrow and left some at the depot. I had a letter from Will today. Bertha Williams was there at home. We had a nice visit. I went up to the depot to take the car and Alma got on at the bridge. We came home, did evening work, and got the meat ready for tomorrow. Frank went to help thresh and was gone all day.
