Monday October 8th 1906 Did morning work. Mother & Henry Hart came at 10.15. Will took Henry for a short ride. Mr Walker from the valley was here for dinner. Will went to town with the men at 2.30. It blew up very cold and Mother stayed all night. Frankie Pointain here in evening. Tuesday October 9th 1906 Still very cold and windy. Busy with the work and visiting with Mother. She went home at 3.30. I did the evening work and sewed a little in the evening. Wednesday October 10th 1906 weather a little better. I was busy about the work most of the day. I did a little sewing. The boys digging potatoes. Thursday October 11th 1906 I made tomato preserves and a lot of chilie sauce. That with getting the meals was all I got done. I wrote a letter to Laura mason in the evening. Friday October 12th 1906 I did churning and got the dinner. I went down town in the buggy after noon. Ida Colter come today for a visit. Elmer & Ida Anderson were over home for a call with Aunt Emma and Mr Whitaker. I went to town before coming home. I got a bushel of pears. I work till nearly bed-time about the kitchen.
