Wednesday November 7th 1906 I got up early. Got breakfast for Lorie and I. Will came at 7.15. I got breakfast for him and Clara. was busy most of the forenoon with the dinner. Mother and Mattie Fletcher came at 10.15. When the returned were all in about the middle of the afternoon Ott was beaten by 87 votes. So was a great surprise to every one. Mother and Mattie went home at 5.30. It rained a little in afternoon. Thursday November 8th 1906 I fixed the boys dinner and left at 9.30 for the Elder Daughters meeting at Mrs Webbs. Called on Old Mrs Rankins. Spent the time pleasantly till 1.30, went to have work on my teeth. Came home at 4.05. Did evening work and read some. Friday November 9th 1906 Was busy all forenoon with putting the fruit away out of the pantry and regular work. I was fixing sleeves in blue calico dress in afternoon and wrote Ida Culter and Alma letters in evening. The boys husking. Will to town in afternoon. weather pleasant again. Saturday November 10th 1906 I baked cookies and bread and got the dinner. Will helped Tom get a big load of corn. Will went to town in the buggy in afternoon and I went as far as Woolfs. It began raining so we soon came home. I sewed most of the evening.
