Saturday August 1st 1903 I had some ironing and bread baking to do today. I finished by noon working a few moments at a time. I was sick all day. Walter was not here and Will took care of himself. He had to go to town awhile in the morning. It rained twice. Sunday August 2nd, 1903 I feel better and we went down to Ed McCollisters. We had a very pleasant visit and enjoyed looking over their new improvements to their house. We had a warm ride home. went to bed early. Monday August 3rd, 1903 It rained again this morning. Will churned for me and I was busy most of the forenoon with the work. I sewed on my white waist in the afternoon. I put up some plums. Walter is mowing the yard. Will not very well. Tuesday August 4th 1903 Will and I went to town in the morning I took in some chickens. Will got a new suit of clothes It was a fearful hot day I did not do any thing The Whetstones and Hartsocks went up the river in the Davis boat in the afternoon.
