Friday July 4th 1902 We got up early and I cooked two chickens to take down home for dinner. When we got down there all hands had gone to town to see the show parade. Hattie and I got dinner. The folks were all up from the other house. In the afternoon some went to the show and others to the races. We spent the afternoon visiting. Came home in time to do evening work, went to bed early Saturday July 5th 1902 I was very busy all forenoon. I dressed chickens to take to Fannie and did baking I went down town in afternoon stopping at home a few moments. I did churning after I came home. The boys are plowing corn today. Fred came back to get his things and quit work. Will McGinnis is to work by the month now.
