Sunday July 6th 1902 I was busy all forenoon I read awhile in the afternoon and then drove down home for Vene. She came back with me and we visited till late bed-time on the porch. Monday July 7th 1902 We got the work done early and took a ride before time to get dinner. Mother and Aunt Lydia come up to spend the day. We had such a good visit. They did not send for them till nearly night. It was a day long to be remembered. Vene and I did up the work after they were gone and talked on the porch with Will till late. Tuesday July 8th 1902 I left the mens dinner and I took Vene down to Uncle Jims. Alice rode down with us and Mother came back. There was a terrible rain and I did not leave till seven oclock & found things all right.
