Thursday August 21st 1902. This was the day for the Old Setlers picnic. We could not get to town for high water. Aunt Lydia and Alice were to go home tonight. I had washing done and ironed and died corn Friday August 22nd 1902 I baked cake and put more apples to dry. I visited with Laura in the afternoon and sewed some. Will put some milled hay in the barn. I had two men extra for supper. Saturday August 23rd 1902 I was busy all the forenoon with the baking, churning and dinner. I took down chickens and eggs for the P.E. O. supper at Hatties on Monday night. Otts folks have come home. They had a fine trip down to Burlington. I went on to town for some things. Will got in some more hay this afternoon. He is nearly sick. Laura and I visited all the evening.
