Wednesday September 3rd 1902 I did ironing and put apples to dry in the forenoon. I did a little sweeping and the mending in the afternoon. Walter away threshing. Will around home most of the day. Thursday September 4th 1902 It was a beautiful day. I got my forenoons work thought for an early dinner though I went down home of an errand and baked a cake. Will and I went to the fair in the afternoon. I met Mother and was with her. I did some wash after I got home for tomorrow. Friday September 5th 1902 I was nearly all day doing cooking for the threshers I expect tomorrow. Walter was away helping the neighbors. Will went to town late in the afternoon but hurried home for fear of rain. We had a hard rain early in the evening with lightning.
