Sunday January 4th 1903 I was busy about the house most of the forenoon. Wrote and read some. Ida gone all day. I went down home alone in the afternoon, took Fannie her butter. They went to call on Susie Fletcher who is here having Dr Dean treat her eyes. Mollie came back tonight. Frank brought her back. Monday January 5th 1903 I helped with the wash all the forenoon. We went to town soon after dinner. We got Mother a plain gold ring for her birthday and we stopped to show it to Fannie and took it on over to Mother. She was surprised and quite pleased with it. Ida went to town to stay all night. Tuesday January 6th 1903 Ida came back to help with the work and went down home in the afternoon. I am busy working on my old brown dress that I am making a house dress of. The weather was a little more moderate today but a terrible wind came up in the evening.
