Sunday January 11th 1903 It was a very cold day. I read some and wrote to Ida Cutler & Lydia Mason. Ida was away all day. Mollie came back tonight. Talked all evening. Monday January 12th 1903 Still cold. I sewed the lace on a handkerchief in the forenoon and made tatting in afternoon. Sewed carpet rags in evening. Too cold to leave the fire. Tuesday January 13th 1903 Weather more pleasant. We did churning and got the dinner. Ida had a letter from Mary Price, she is sick and wants her to come out. Ida went to town with Will in the afternoon. Mollie spent the evening away from home. I sewed some. Wednesday January 14th 1903 weather very much milder. We got an early start and worked and churned and I baked a big cake before dinner. I went down home in the afternoon, was busy all evening..
