Sunday January 18th 1903 I still have a very bad cold. I read and wrote some and did the work. I see by the paper that Lizzie Duncan has gone to Dayton [Daytona?] Florida for the rest of the winter. Mollie back tonight. Monday January 19th 1903 I have a very sore throat though not like I had two months ago. I ripped up a dress that I am going to make a waist of and sewed rags. I do not feel like doing much. Read in evening. Jennie Danner has a girl baby. Tuesday January 20th 1903 Mother came out early and they sent for her about four oclock. I did some baking and got the dinner. Will churned for me. I sewed on the rags what time I had to spare. Will to town in afternoon. Wednesday January 21st 1903 I did the work and sewed a few rags. The weather is not so nice as yesterday. I am doing all I can for my cold. I have not had so hard a one since the time we moved here.
