Thursday January 22nd 1903 I lost my voice so I could not talk at all. Mother & Hattie were out in the afternoon. They said Fannie went home today as her Mother is sick. I felt able to do the work and can eat all right. I put a poultice on my neck at early bed-time. Friday January 23rd 1903 I felt some better this morning. Will went to town before noon. I cut carpet rags all day. Mollie went home tonight. Saturday January 24th 1903 My voice is coming back all right. I did not do much house-work but finished sewing the rags I had cut. Went to bed early. Will was down town in the afternoon. Sunday January 25th 1903 I was busy about the house all the forenoon. I am beginning to feel better of my cold. I read and wrote in the afternoon. Talked with Mollie in the evening.
