Monday April 13th 1903 It was a rainy day. The men tried to split wood (Mr Vaughn and Will) but could not do much with it. Walter was cleaning harness. I had churning done and worked at a white dress sacque. Tuesday April 14th 1903 Still rainy. The boys doing what they can between showers and I busy with the work and sewing what spare time I have. Wednesday April 15th 1903 Still rainy though not quite so bad as the few days before. The men were splitting wood and cleaning out the barns. I was busy about the work and my sewing all day. Thursday April 16th 1903 Very busy all forenoon. Mr Vaughn here for dinner. Will and I went away in afternoon. I was at home and we stopped at Woolfs a few moments. I had a lot of extra work to do in the evening. Was tired and went to bed early. Will sent the cattle to pasture in afternoon.
