Monday April 20th 1903 Will concluded to not put in any more oats and put two teams at work hauling manure. He traded the sorrel mare "Lydia" to Levi Hill this morning for a work horse. He went to town in the afternoon and I went down home to the club meeting. It was late when we got home, did evening work. Tuesday April 21st 1903 I had Clarence a little while this morning and then he helped Will plant potatoes all day. I went down among the West side people t find Asparagus roots but did not succeed. It was cold and windy and I came home nearly sick. Minnie Showers little boy "George" died today. I set some hens. Wednesday April 22nd 1903 I did nothing but the regular work in the forenoon. Mollie went with me to Little George funeral in the afternoon. It was a cold windy day. We did some errands in town on our way home. Got supper over and went right to bed.
