Friday May 8th 1903 I had a little boy help me wash and work till noon. I had baking on hand too. I went down to Woolfs a couple of hours in the afternoon while Will went to town for paint. I had some work to do after I came home. Mollie went home tonight. Saturday May 9th 1903 I ironed and cleaned the new window in the dining room. Will had the garden plowed and after dinner I went down home and he on to town. There was a nice rain. This is Hatties birthday and Mother gave her & Fannie and I each $50.00. Mine is for my wedding anniversary next week. I was very glad to get it. We come home in time to do evening work. Sunday May 10th 1903 I was busy all morning. Read and wrote in afternoon. Will put in ice for the first time. Walter was gone all day. Mollie did not get back tonight.
