Thursday May 28th 1903 I did baking and was busy with the work all forenoon. We went down home in the afternoon. Mother has changed to Dr Dean is feels some better. We hurried home to escape a rain. Mollie spent the evening away from home. Friday May 29th 1903 It looked cloudy all forenoon and set in to rain soon after dinner. Lib came for Mollie. They went home in a driving rain. I feel so lonely and out of sorts. I did so want to go down home this afternoon. The boys came do any farm work. Saturday May 30th 1903 Will went to town this morning in the rain with the butter & eggs and got things needed. The word Mother is about the same. Walter took the day in town. I was busy doing baking all the forenoon and worked at tatting in afternoon. It rained all day long. I dont know what is to become of the crops. I have a hard time with my little chicks.
