Sunday June 7th 1903 I was busy about the house as usual all morning and read and wrote in the afternoon. Bess lost her colt - a week old this morning. The weather is pleasant once more. Monday June 8th 1903 Will did a big churning for me. I swept the whole house in the forenoon and at half past two was ready to go to town. I did some shopping and hurried home as it looked like rain. It blew up cold. Frank Vaughn is helping plow corn. Tuesday June 9th 1903 weather cool but pleasant. I have a lot of little chickens hatching. I did some baking in the morning and emptied a sack of sugar. I went down home in the afternoon to see the Holson girls. They have come to see Early and Mary Bird married tomorrow. Fannie is sick in bed. Ott came home from Marengo to stay all night.
