We went after that I did some errands and called on Clara Remley but did not find her. I stopped at Fannies and at home. Did evening work. We put the little chicks in new chicken house. Tuesday June 23rd 1903 Will went to the pasture with Mrs Pinney as soon as he ate his breakfast and later up to see Earhert Danner about cutting hay. He went in town as soon as he ate his dinner to settle with the R. R. Co about the right away. He came back at five oclock with the papers for me to sign made out for $665.00 and the check for the money. We feel it a good settlement. I was busy sewing in afternoon. Wednesday June 24th 1903 I went down home while Will went to town to bank his money. I sewed in the afternoon and wrote to Vene. They began work on the R. R. in our field today. Will and I put out tomato plants. Otts family and Mother drove out after supper. I was working with my chicks till bed-time. I am losing a lot of them.
