Saturday July 4th 1903 There was nothing doing in town today. I sewed all the forenoon and went down home in the afternoon. Walter was gone all day and Will stayed about the place resting. We sat on the porch in evening. Sunday July 5th 1903 It was a delightful day. Will and I took a ride up to the pasture and down around to see the work on the railroad and where they change the road on Earnest Danners farm. I got our dinners after we came back and read all afternoon. Monday July 6th 1903 Will helped me wash and then went to town before noon. I was busy all forenoon with the work. I wrote a note to Ott in the afternoon and stopped at Mrs Kosers awhile when I went to put it in the box. The boys are plowing corn. I sewed a little in the afternoon. weather warmed but very pleasant.
