Saturday March 11th 1899 Will went to town with the butter this morning and the men sawed our wood. They were done as I had dinner by eleven oclock. I did up my work in the afternoon and thought I would go over to Simpsons but it began raining. Will got home about two oclock. I read in the evening. a rainy gloomy time. Sunday March 12th 1899 I read some after doing up the morning wash. After the dinner was over went down to Callies a little while. It is three months today since Edith was put in the vault. I have missed her so today that I can not put my mind on any thing. I have quite a bad cold the first I have had all winter. Monday March 13th 1899 I did a little sewing. Did not feel like having washing done. It was a bright pleasant day. Will went down to the school meeting in the afternoon and I called over at Simpsons. practiced in evening. Tuesday March 14th 1899 It was a stormy day. The boys could not do much but take care of the stock. I baked bread and cooked chicken for dinner. I sewed on my black dress, and finished it. Will fixed my table in the kitchen. John Mc. was here in the afternoon
