Wednesday April 26th 1899 I worked nearly all forenoon fixing nests and setting hens, most of them on duck eggs I was busy about the house a great part of the afternoon. Thursday April 27th 1899 I set more hens this morning and looked after hatching chickens. There was a heavy rain just before noon and all three of the boys got wet. It rained again late in the afternoon. Did churning today. Friday April 28th 1899 Will went to town with the butter and got home for a late dinner. I washed out a few things this morning and looked after setting hens. sewed in the afternoon. Saturday April 29th 1899 I was busy with the work all forenoon and in the afternoon I helped Will put in a lot of garden. Sunday April 30th 1899 I read a little in the forenoon besides doing the work. I went down to Callies in the afternoon and we stopped at Simpsons to see the new baby and Callie got a paper for me that Aunty had put away with Robs obituary notice in. I prize it highly. I read in the evening. took my bath and went to bed. John & Charlie Williams were here talking to the boys
