Saturday September 23rd 1899 The weather was so they could thresh and they got it all done. Emma came up to help me and Father and Mother came down. We had the men for two meals. Henry and Carl worked on the house. Sunday September 24th 1899 I was busy all the forenoon with the work. In the afternoon Will and I went over to Wilsons. It was cool and cloudy all day. I read and wrote in the evening. Monday September 25th 1899 I was busy with the work all forenoon and went to town in the afternoon for meat. I did my evening work when I got back. I had a letter from Maurice he has paid the mortgage on the Delavan property. Tuesday September 26th 1899 It was a perfect day Will was having corn shelled and hauled to Hill Siding. Emma Kines came up to help me with the dinner & supper. She went home at night Wednesday September 27th 1899 They finished the corn before three oclock. I took Emma home just before dark. Ida Anderson was here in the afternoon. I helped Will figure up his corn in the evening it brought him $832.50 at 25cts a bushel
