Friday February 2nd 1900 Will took an early start to town with the butter and Luther went down to Johns to help with the ice. I had Wills dinner ready when he got home. He says Lee is not able to be up. Will went down to Johns. I was down late in the afternoon to see how they got on. Saturday February 3rd 1900 The boys both worked at the ice all day. Will got his foot hurt with a cake of ice. They got done down at Johns and it began storming this evening. I was busy with baking all forenoon and sewed in the afternoon. Sunday February 4th 1900 It was a cold stormy day and Wills foot hurt him so that we did not go up home. John Mc was up in the afternoon and Charlie Williams in the evening I read some during the day. Monday February 5th 1900 They began work on our ice today. There was snow enough they could haul on sleds. The ice is fine and they got in a nice lot. I had extra men for two meals. Tuesday February 6th 1900 They worked on the ice and were all done by five oclock so I had supper for the men. John Mc was up town today and brought back word that Lee was about the same
