Monday February 12th 1900 Will and I took an early start and drove up to see the Clark farm first stopping in town to find out that it had not yet been sold. We could not look around as much as would have liked to but was well impressed with the land The buildings will need changing some. We came back and talked with the folks about it. Mother will I think help us buy it. Tuesday February 13th 1900 I wrote some letters in the morning and Will went to Hill Siding in the afternoon. Luther was getting up wood and I was busy sewing. Wednesday February 14th 1900 It was snowing this morning but Luther went to town Will was about the house most of the day. It was nearly night when Luther got home. There was a break at the mill and he could not get his grinding done. Will is troubled with his back today. John M-. came to the door after dark to tell us Ott wanted us to come up tomorrow and told us Mrs Curtis was dead. Thursday February 15th 1900 It was intensely cold but we went to town this morning. Ott was at the court house so we went
